i wanna be Briseis for just one day.
i give 9 out of 10 for TROY. the last 1 mark lost for some cheesy scenes like the one when Paris & Hector came down from the horse in synchrony like some cheap cowboy flick. maybe what alex said was right. i loved it so much because of Brad Pitt. think if someone else like Tom Cruise was Archilles, i won't even bother watching it.
Archilles: Do you know what's waiting beyond that beach? Immortality! Take it! It's yours!
now when was the last time you heard such a gaya line in the movies?

what happened to my blog?? why is everything in italic form?? someone...help!
Saturday Night Fever was a good experience. live band, singing, and the dances were world-class. but then again, if you're paying so much for a musical, you don't really expect anything less. now, if only we could video tape down the whole play, then incorporate some of the moves into our cheerleading for the next IMUCup, we'll beat everyone flat. no wait a min, we won't, coz we don't have guys muscular enough and girls flexible enough (besides Lavinia that is).
my hamster is making me proud. after using pH5.5 body wash(which is what I use too) to bathe it, Hamtaro has become this fluff ball with never before seen healthy hamster fur. all the oil and dirt stains formerly coating it is now gone. its fur is now even better than any soft toy i've ever laid my hands on. amazing how that pH5.5 body wash thing can perform such a make over for a hamster in just one wash.
it's proven. God speaks to me through friends. somehow, they'll just come up to me with verses that they feel are for me. and it's as if God just sent me an SMS. feels great everytime He does it.
virus vs aiky : 7-1. secondary bacteria vs aiky : 3-0. great. now the mucus coming out of my nose is green. and half the time when i'm talking to people i'm afraid that i have bad breathe due to all that bacterial actions going on inside my nasal/oral cavities.

I've just discovered something about myself that I don't like. It's not really a discovery, more of a trait that re-surfaced - I can't stand failures. I can't stand not doing well. Even when I know that failing in one small, miserable, insignificant summative really doesn't matter, I still can't stand it. I can't stand not being able to reach a personal expectation. And worst of all, I CAN'T STAND MYSELF BEING SO PETTY OVER THIS WHOLE ISSUE.
Think this blog is becoming a bit too self-obsessed. Think I should dedicate a bit of this page to friends around. Alex - the friend who calls me up out of no where to swoon over this chun girl for a whole 5 minutes, when he jolly well knows that I have straight sexual orientation and hence, does not feel the same way that he does. One of the greatest friends God sent to me. All the cliches like 'he is always there for me', 'he understands me best' etc etc...yeap, alex has definitely fulfilled them all. Cming - a true bugger . Rolls his head all over my pillow (to make it smell of his hair product) and then drools over it. Well, at least he has the courtesy to ask my permission before he farts in my room. Think God incorporated a songwriter + graphic designer + entertainer + comedian + super duper deep thinker + a plain noob when he created Cming. wait, is that statement considered blasphemy?
the viruses in my body have won the battle. Virus vs Aiky: 6-0. A whole 6 days of being sick. Antibiotics, running nose pills, cough mixture, chinese herbal tea, self-brewed chrysanthemum tea, vit C, salt water gargles can all go down the drain (in Tim's words, that would be: 'can all go eat shit'). having a nose block 24-7 makes you want to tear apart your nasal cavity to create an air passage. and if the tonsils in my throat was a person, I'd have labelled him : a useless piece of shit for not being able to carry out the basic function of defense against viruses.
Off to buy auntie anne's pretzels. It's bad for my throat, but i've already lost the battle anyway.

this is not good...exam's on Friday, I can barely remember a single thing of what I have studied, I'm feeling lethargic 24-7, and worst of all, I have totally no motivation what-so-ever to study and do well for this exam. the weird thing is that i don't feel stressed out that i'm in this state even when i know jolly well that i'll fail my exam flat if i don't buck up...
feel so tired without any apparent reason.

Me: Tell me, why has life become complicated now?
God: Stop analyzing life. Just live it. Analysis is what makes it complicated.
Me: Why are we then constantly unhappy?
God: Your today is the tomorrow that you worried about yesterday. You are worrying because you are analyzing. Worrying has become your habit. That's why you are not happy.
Me: But how can we not worry when there is so much uncertainty?
God: Uncertainty is inevitable, but worrying is optional.
Me: But then, there is so much pain due to uncertainty.
God: Pain is inevitable, but suffering is optional.
Me: Sometimes not succeeding fast seems to hurt more than moving in the right direction.
God: Success is a measure as decided by others. Satisfaction is a measure as decided by you. Knowing the road ahead is more satisfying than knowing you rode ahead. You work with the compass. Let others work with the clock.
Me: Sometimes I ask, who am I, why am I here.
God: Seek not to find who you are, but to determine who you want to be. Stop looking for a purpose as to why you are here. Create it. Life is not a process of discovery but a process of creation.
Me: Sometimes I feel my prayers are not answered.
God: There are no unanswered prayers. At times the answer is NO. Life is a mystery to solve, not a problem to resolve. Trust me. Life is wonderful if you know how to live. Best wishes for a good day.

I don't get it. How can you possibly guy/girl-hop? Or rather, how can you fall in and out of a relationship so easily?? I know it's seriously none of my business but I just can't help feeling this surge of anger when I see such people. There's simply no justice to it. There're valid reasons to a break-up but leaving one girl for another is simply not one of them. Or maybe I'm being too judgemental. Think i need to learn how to accept people for who they are, rather than who I perceive them to be. Hmmm...BUT HOW CAN YOU POSSIBLY TREAT A RELATIONSHIP WITH SO LITTLE RESPECT?? wait, aiky, this is none of your business!

i need a make-over. not just any, i want one conducted by the Fab5 from Queer Eye. they have slightly abnormal sexual orientation but they're really superb in what they do. Jai's facial complexion reminds me of Tim's. so Tim, maybe you're on your way there too. still forming my thoughts on the whole issue of homosexuality. i think the reason why we're all so intrigued by them is due to simple human nature. most of us can't stand banality. so it's only natural for us to be so fascinated by something unnatural, something that goes against the societal norm. qn: do gays actually feel proud that they're who they are? if they do indeed feel this way, then it must be the society's love for unnatural things that's feeding such feelings. after reading the papers and realizing how screwed up the world is becoming to, i think the devils must have been working overtime. humans in turn, happily and voluntarily become the products of this overtime.
NEVER RELY ON LAPTOPS...RELY INSTEAD ON FATHERS...
it's pretty amazing how a tiny, insignificant piece of wire can create so much havoc. just because of that 1mm disconnection, you can't start your laptop and your whole day seems to fall apart. so much for technology...
Thank God for fathers though. they just seem to have this innate ability to repair everything. it was already 12.45am and he was still trying his best to make my laptop come to life again. he dismantled the whole cable, cut away the insulating black tape and checked every part of it to identify the source of the problem. somehow, he managed to rectify the whole problem by cutting, pasting, taping, etc etc. and ta-dah...the laptop was resurrected. fathers...what can you do without them?
love life (which is really non-existent)...finally mustered up all my guts to tell him. he took it all in good stride and joked about it quite a bit. glad the way things turned out - better than i expected. at least we're still good mates (i think). one less thing to cloud my mind. next on the list, go back to my vege&low-carbo diet and try to save up enough money for a Toni&Guy haircut.
