I hate JB.
Nope I'm not being unloyal since I was not born here anyway. The streets are filthy, people litter all over, ah-bengs & ah-lians who think they're super duper gaya plague the streets, and the crime rate is so high that the devil must be laughing his head off. Seriously, what happened to JB?! Not that I've ever been proud of this place but still...I really wonder what the police force is doing.

taiwan here I come...
Hope everything goes well for the trip. After all the hassle of getting my passport renew-ed, I just hope nothing more troublesome can occur (except for the fact that I'll be super lost with all the shi-shi-sha-sha biao zhun mandarin going on).
Losing your IC, while having to use that IC to collect your passport (which is already due on tat day to secure you a flight ticket), and having to worry about a camp at the same time is not exactly an experience you want to go through during the holidays. Bout me losing my IC...it's a whole long story which i shall try to re-enact...
Monday: Supposed to hand in my passport by this day. But...wonderfully brilliant me just realized that it's gonna expire in 2 months time, so got to renew it. Happily travel to some secluded shopping centre near Sogo to do it. You would think that a big city like KL would have a more organized or at least recognizable immigration office. But it was located in this dingy building which must have been there since WW I.
Tues: Woke up at 7am, to get my passport and then fax it over to the travel agency to get my flight ticket. and all must be done before the camp meeting at 10.30am. Happily travel to the secluded shopping centre again, only to realize : oh, where's my IC? must have left it in Vista. Came back, ransacked the whole apartment, no IC!! panick...panick...panick...no IC, no passport, no taiwan. no IC, no Broga Camp. no IC, passport left hanging in the immigration office, no form of identification for Goh Aik Ying. Yey, wonderful.
Tues noon: Went all the way to Kepong (kudos to Jack :> ) to Jabatan Pendaftaran, hopefully to get a temporary IC, then hopefully to rush back in time to get my passport. Horrors to horrors...there was a 3 hour queue. so now, secured temporary IC, no passport, no Taiwan.
Tues eve: Thank God travel agency said they can wait...
Wed - Fri: Broga camp...which went on great, thankfully.
Fri Noon: Supposed to go collect passport. But Tim decided to make my life more colourful and got involved in an accident. Eh wait...it was not Tim's fault that it happened and we didn't need to go to the accident site anyway. So due to human nature of being busybody (which is totally understandable), we spent 1 hr there and in the end, set off late to collect my passport. And then, traffic jam for 2 hrs confirmed that I was not fated to get my passport. No Taiwan!!
Sat - Sun: Spent praying hard that I can still get my air ticket.
Mon Morn: Yey! Passport collected, transported straight to travel agency, air ticket issued. hehe...all ends well...thank God, literally.
I'm becoming more and more chiong hei. A simple story has filled up 3 quarters of my blog entry. What a doink.
Trying hard to finish the Chinese Medicine book that the Taiwanese lecturer sent us. But I'm reading the dictionary more than the book. Not touched a single Chinese book since 7 years ago. To make things worse, the book is written in old chinese characters. But it's quite entertaining...getting in touch with my Chinese roots again. Shall summon all my courage and try chou dou fu when I'm there.

For those who can so proudly identify with the word above, I sincerely think that you think that the world thinks too highly of you and will wait for you to complete all your insignificant tasks before settling down to what's really important.
I just got to get it out of my system. Procrastination is an abomination. The trait is utterly abhorring. It's ok if such procrastinators just go on with their own lives happily without affecting those around them. But most often, procrastinators DO have a domino effect on the ppl dealing with them. Urgh...I think I just got to be a little more patient. But seriously, how can people leave everything to the eleventh hour? And then, at the twelfth hour, they'll be saying 'If only I had seen this earlier...if only I had done this...' Dude, you think the clock ticks for you and you alone?!
Do hamsters menstruate? If they really do, I suggest that every time of the month, they be kept in dark places where their owners can't see them and get the shock of their lives. Seeing your hamster having spasms and then bleeding from its butt is not a pretty sight. Until now I still cringe when I think of that night when my hamster started having weird convulsions with a bloody butt.

The following is contributed by Bernard Lee
Sin is pleasurable. And we honestly have to agree on that. The pleasure that sin gives us satisfies our thirst, but temporarily. "Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again", that we return to it again, and again....and again. This is the birth of addiction and sin becomes master over us.
We are all thirsty.... for life. And when we choose sin to gratify our thirst, we take shallow drafts of muddy river water, which do not and will never quench our thirst. It would only set us up for a vicious cycle of addiction. Jesus is the Giver and Source of living waters, an artesian clear spring that is the ONLY water that can satisfy our souls' thirst."whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst."
Paul Jambu said in his lecture about a characteristic of an addiction being "preferring the gratification that the addiction can offer, over other forms of gratification." I pray we seek the Giver of living waters, and stop quenching our thirsts by taking shallow drafts that sin offers. NOT ONLY that we eat what is good, but let our souls delight itself in abundance. THEN ONLY our souls shall live and the water that Jesus gives us will become in us a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.
In Jesus is life, and the life is the light of men. I pray that those who have and are quenching their thirst with relationships with people or any sexual sins, will turn to Jesus. I pray for those whose hearts are buried away and dead, that they let it out to start thirsting again. I pray for those whose hearts are looking at the Lord and drinking the water that He is giving, that they continue to do so, learning to delight in the goodness of our Lord.
Hmmm, that was a good message.

So this is how it feels when you're done with the Sem3s. hanging in between, not happy but not sad, not stressed out but yet burdened by something heavy. Guess it'll only end next Friday when the results are released, and that is IF I manage to get >64%.
Nobody will truely understand the meaning of 'nerve-wrecking' until they've taken an OSCE paper. The experience was just...indescribable. was so totally stunned after the 2 physical examination stations. Stood at the rest station, not knowing what to think/do. remember how they say 'All things are possible'? Yeap. I truly agree. Who would have thought that getting Htin Aung on both days of OSCE was possible? I really don't know what to think of him. Don't think any IMU student has ever fathomed him before. He doesn't scare me...he's just another human being. But it's just that he loves to make people's life miserable. And he has his own way of communication that is so eccentric. It's not scary, it's just...strange.
Friday...FRIday...FRIDAY...I can't bear the thought of failing.
