Dundee-Manchester-Liverpool-Manchester-Dundee

12/11- 15/11...I could almost qualify them as the best few days I've spent since coming to the UK. It wasn't the place. In fact, I really won't want to live in those 2 cities (sorry Manc n LP -ians. Dundee has made me loyal). But it was the whole fun of meeting up with IMU old folks and laughing at each other's dumb dumb jokes again. Or maybe it was just the familiarity and warmth of meeting ppl you used to spend everyday of the past 3 yrs with. Me thought: won't it be nice if all of us went to the same UK uni? but on 2nd thought, it's really the distance that draws us all so close.

A tribute to the M103s in all the photos below (oh & not to forget some P103 and M202 ppl too)...

Manchester folks - thanks for bringing us to all those Chinese and Indian restaurants that you must have been to so many times. we've learnt that 2 and a half mths is all it takes for Raymond & Cmingo to convince Jaycen to join their world of never-ending lameness. and for all the crap that comes out of Raymond, he's still our best sportsman who scored 20 points for the Uni of Manchester Medic team when they went agts Sheffield last Sat. final score was 50(Manch) - 38 (Sheffield). ah...still remember the B18-8 days when I could hear the guys playing basketball in the IMU tar court till way past midnight. and Zhao would happily close his books, get into his basketball gear, walk pass my room with that guilty smile, mumbling 'eh i go play ball for a while ar...'

Old Trafford.
Even if you're not a MU fan or you just couldn't be bothered watching 22 grown man chase after a wee ball, you will still find yourself held in awe when you enter the stadium. it's just magnificent, looking across the pitch at the whole stadium with seats painted all red, the sunlight illuminating the big MANCHESTER UNITED wordings...Jaycen was on the verge of tears. we actually got to go into the players changing room, press room, director's box. oh and to our amazement, Air Asia actually has a billboard in the stadium since they're one of the sponsors. not bad...not bad...

Oxford boy Alex fr Edinburgh who still knows me best. Guess the cold weather was not enough to cause vasoconstriction in those famous pair of red ears when we talked about your improving good looks...heh..

Manchester is one crazy city. read Lena's.

Moving on to the wacko Liverpool gang...

Jon, Jack, Hsupheen, Edward, Alex, Tricia...
It was like reliving Seabraes days when we first came to Dundee. The Liverpool gang stay in a hall pretty similar to Seabraes where IMU owns almost the whole floor. Chill-out-UK style -mamak sessions in the cozy kitchen at night. exactly like what we used to do. guess you can see from the pics that nothing much has changed - Jon is still his highly enthusiastic self while taking photos. oh and if you're wondering, we were all trying to do the first letter of the place where we come from. obviously Alex Gan doesn't like Liverpool very much...(Alex, is that a 'D' for Dundee you were showing? so when are you guys coming?!)

Thanks for the fantabulous dinner! and as you can see, it was the guys who did all the cooking. That's me cousin over there in pink. Lei, if we're ever kicked out of Medic/Engineering School, maybe we can go start up a restaurant with your sweet&sour fried chicken (Goh&Goh Restaurant maybe?). Just don't tell anyone the secret is in Maggi...heh. HsuPheen, sorry for whacking all your La Jiu Yao. we Dundee folks are a deprived lot.
