9 things I learnt from Taiwan...
1. The Taiwanese are a crazy bunch. They are so superbly generous and warm-hearted. The hospitality they showed...Me felt like I was from a royal family or something.

2. They eat any part of an animal's body. They have this jelly kinda thing, like tofu, made of pig's blood and starch. There're stalls selling this everywhere in Taiwan. Oh yea, and duck's blood too.

3. Why, oh why, are all Taiwanese girls so pretty, slim and fair?? seriously, pick any girl off the street and there's a 90% chance that she's a killer. Lawrie, Dexter and Jack were in heaven i think. It must be the gene pool in Taiwan...

4.There is, to my despair, NOT A SINGLE GOOD-LOOKING GUY in taiwan. or at least, i didn't notice any. there are many gaya ones though.

5. The people in Taiwan are more reckless drivers than KL!! It's crazy, the roads there. But funny thing is...it all seemed to be in an ORGANISED chaos. The drivers there all know what they are doing.

6. Chinese Medicine is not some kinda myth or bomoh kinda thing. There is a basis to it all. And the Chinese Med doctors there have to go through reallystrict exams and all to obtain their license. It's like the Western Med doctors here. Acupuncture is effective..at least the patients there tell me so. Oh and there's this method in Chinese Med to cleanse your body of toxins - 'letting go blood' (literal translation from Mandarin, fang4 xie3). It's where the doc pricks many tiny spots on a pt's back, then use a suction tube thing called ba1 guan4 to suck that part up. so under pressure, all the spots will start to bleed...profusely. And the blood is all really darkish red, which shows that you're excreting a lot of toxins in your blood. Weird...the lady doing it said she felt great after that...psychological effect?? But anyway, it's not really practised these days.

7. There must be close to a billion motorbikes in Taipei city...or at least it felt so. Pretty scary. Especially at a trafic light when it turns green. you'll see all the motorbikes suddenly riding off.

8. The tallest building in the world is now in Taiwan - Taipei 101. But it doesn't reallylook that tall and erm...i must say, not pretty at all. I will still stay true to KLCC. It has that majestic look that beats all other tall buildings flat.

9. In any streets of Taiwan, you will never fail to see these 2 shops - a 24-hour convenient store like 7-11, and a drink stall which sells all kinds of juices, & of course, all kinds of bubble tea with pearls.

I'm sick of meat...shall turn vegan.
